This is an ideal shore excursion for cruise guests disembarking in Honolulu, since the port sits close to the city's top landmarks and offers an easy start for a seamless day of sightseeing before your flight or hotel check-in.
At the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, you will watch a short film on the December 7, 1941, attack, then board a shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial using your reserved tickets. Spend time honoring the lives lost, taking in the memorial's quiet atmosphere, and exploring the on-site exhibits that explain how the attack drew the U.S. into WWII. If you would like to add more naval history, you can choose an optional visit to the USS Bowfin Submarine area, with the understanding that this tour does not include Bowfin admission and the visit is exterior only.
After Pearl Harbor, continue to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl for a meaningful stop overlooking Honolulu. You will also enjoy exterior views of downtown Honolulu highlights including Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha Statue, with engaging commentary on Hawaii's royal history and cultural legacy. Your tour ends with convenient drop off back at the Honolulu cruise terminal, your hotel, or the airport, making this a seamless and memorable way to end your time in Oahu. Light walking is required at some stops, but most of the tour is by vehicle. Guests must be able to navigate even and uneven terrain and steps.
A brief safety orientation will be provided, and all guests must sign a waiver before departure. Infants are not free and must be included in the reservation. Restrooms are available at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
Guests with luggage will be escorted by the guide via shuttle bus to Ford Island. Guests without luggage will receive VIP access and be driven directly to Ford Island.
For all airport pick-ups, please provide airline, flight number, and arrival time at the time of booking.
Please note: The USS Arizona Memorial may occasionally close due to weather or at the direction of the U.S. Navy. In such cases, refunds will not be issued; however, guests will visit the historic exhibits and other Pearl Harbor attractions. Closures occur approximately 1 to 3 times per year.
